Everywhere I look there is something about the oceans dying.
Here, here, here, here, here, there was a story in this morning’s Trib about these Homboldt Squids that are overtaking the California coast due to over fishing of their predator the shark.
Before the movie “Happy Feet” they say to look at the Monteray Bay website which has some good info about what kind of seafood is ok to eat. Earth friendly fish!
Greg and I have been eating a lot of salmon to be healthy, now I may have to stop unless I can find a fish friendly seller in Pittsburgh. I’ve been getting our fish at Giant Eagle Market District, I don’t know yet if they are fish friendly.

Interesting. I have had this little Diane White painting “Lemons and Lilacs” for at least the last four months and some people have looked at it but not a ton of interest. Then, suddenly, three people start looking at it. Two said they’d be back, but one bought it. Luckily, Diane has a few other pieces around for the two who left without buying.

The morning after the Kindler show David took this amazing shot, I imagine from Phyllis’s place.

My camera battery was dead and I didn’t get any pictures, but thank you to David Kindler who took these great shots of the night.
I think we are all getting fat because spoons and forks have gotten bigger. Go ahead, find a fork from 1952 and compare it to a fork from today.
Last night was great. Phyllis was so great, her paintings are beautiful, she brought in so many wonderful people. While some of my favorite painting have already sold, there are still some really great ones to chose from. I’d add some pictures of the gallery with all of Phyllis’s pieces up but the camera battery is dead, uhg.
I may have made another blogging faux pas. I commented on bloglebo as “Planet Art’s Linda and Mother of Three” because I was making a point of some sort about how businesses along Washington Rd are run by family people and that is why we aren’t open at all hours of the day like the big chain stores. Well, the problem is there was already someone writing as “Anonymous Mother of Three”. Sooo, now some people think that I am her, which I am not. I have to go read what she has said on bloglebo to see what people think that I am saying.
Concerning our hours of business, I’m rethinking them. I’ll talk to Greg about it tonight. Any ideas are always appreiciated.

Check out these stories about Phyllis Kindler. From the Almanac and the Post. Phyllis lives right up the street so I’m going over there tomorrow to help bring all the paintings here. I’ll report again before the show.
So I was bored and dyed my hair red. Really, really red. Maybe orange. It washes out in 28 shampoos, so I have washed it 7 times in the last 24 hours. The truth is, “I’m a blonde, yeah, yeah, yeah”. Does anyone remember that song, Greg doesn’t at all.

We have 18 classes registering right now, for kids, adults, and teens. They are actually being held by the people from South Arts, we are just letting them use some space and taking the registrations.
Last night we went out to the Gallery on 43rd Street to see paintings by Heather Hertel, it was really nice. The gallery is in this old house and it was just like being at a party at a friends house only with lots of great art all around.
