Here’s a new painting called “Castle Park” by Brett Mason. It’s really a tree from over at Dormont Park but Brett’s kid calls it “Castle Park”, sweet.
I have been going crazy prepping for Three Rivers. It’s amazing how many little details there are, not to mention getting all the inventory, bios, etc ready for all the artists. Hopefully it will be great weather and and a fun event. I have recruited Aileen Lampman and my Dad to help set up and sit with me most days, so look for us June 1 - 10 from 12 -8pm everyday.
Last night we did the “Shop for Project E.R.” event at Atria’s. It was great, the server’s were all dressed as doctors and nurses, they had shots in syringes, Doc. McDreamy drinks — really cool. We were one of the vendors and had a table full of cool art, it was a great opportunity to show our stuff off and make a few sales. Molly came along and was a huge help, well, until she broke the frame on “Schwan’s Way”. But no worries, it will be fixed by Three River’s for sure.

Today I had lunch at Atria’s. I had a crabcake sandwich and it was fantastic. We are doing “Shop for a Cause” there next Tuesday. It’s $25 a ticket and you get a galss of wine, dessert, live DJ, cool shopping and lot’s more. It’s all to benefit the new emergency wing at the hospital. Should be fun.
Here’s a picture of the new Ikibana Vase that Vi brought in. It’s kind of hard to tell in the picture, but there is a dragonfly on it, too cute.

Here is a brand new fused glass piece by Vi that is beautiful. The last one she brought, an amazing tree in glass, sold the first day I had it! This would make a great Mother’s Day gift.
Last night’s raffles winner’s are…
Salon Vivace Gift Basket — J. Rutherford
Planet Art Gift Certificate and Medusa Mirror by G. Lampman — A. Carey
Ai Design Lotus Pendent and Earring — #1802098
Congratulations and Thank You!!!
Glenn just stopped by from Salon Vivace and, oh my gosh, he is the nicest guy. So generous and helpful, I will be going there before I dye my hair red again for sure!!!
Tonight, 6-9, Pink Friday, be there!!
Aileen and I spent the entire (no kidding) day getting ready for Pink Friday tomorrow night. I still need to run out after close and get the chocolates and pinky drinks. Salon Vivace donated a bunch of soaps and, drumrolls please, a haircut and color and manicure, for the raffle for Race for the cure. Plus we have the pink garnet Lotus earring and pendent set by Aileen and a medusa mirror by George Lampman. I never know what to expect with these things, but I think this is going to be busy and fun. I hope I get a chance to have a massage!
Saturday is Cinco de Mayo Gallery Walk and Theresa Cress will be here to demo her flameworking skills. What a fun weekend!
The bad news is Greg is feeling pretty sick and has to watch the boys while I do all this gallery stuff. I’m hoping he feels better by tomorrow night.
