I just had lunch with Aileen, who makes the jewelry like the earrings above. She has designed the coolest new bracelet. As soon as I have one in stock I will post is on here. I think it is amazing how she is constantly coming up with new ideas. She has interchangeable earrings, convertible bracelet/necklaces, pocket necklaces, all sorts of imaginitive things. Fantastic.

The only sale we will have on paintings is Monday through Saturday, 6 days of great deals. We are getting ready for lot’s of art openings this fall and with the permission of many of the artists we are making room for new pieces. Come in quick for the best selection.
Above is “Lilies and Tea Cup” by Scott Hunter, one of the paintings 25% off — deal!!!

We have our first print here at the gallery. We usually only have original works, but so many people wanted this painting that we decided to carry a couple of limited edition signed prints of it. The painting is by John Hinderliter and is called “No Refunds”. Ain’t that the truth.
Scott has some of his paintings on his blog. This is his newest collage – I love it. We will have a show of his work, all new paintings and collage – “Scott Hunter: Surface Identity” — in October.
Denise’s polymer painting “Utah Horizon” has won 2nd place in the National Polymer Clay Guild’s Progress and Possibilities 2007 International Juried Competition!! WAy to go Denise.

I have this piece by Vi in the front window right now. It sparkles in the sun and just looks amazing.

The winner of the raffle is — drumroll please– Andrew Walls!!
First Friday was fantastic, beautiful weather, wonderful people. Even the Statue of Liberty stopped by. We had Pittsburgh’s only all vocal band, Double Shot, drop in and entertain. they were so good, they need to go on America’s Got Talent, they’d blow them away!

I’ve had so much response to this I thought I’d show a few more pictures of Marlene Boyle’s pinched wedding pots. She can also make them for anniversaries or for a new baby.

Wedding season is upon us! Marlene Boyle brought in this great wedding pot. It’s a sawdust pit fired, burnished, pinch pot that she fires with fern (which is the Japanese symbol for long life and family prosperity). She writes the couple’s names and wedding date on the pot along with a saying like “we must have delight”. They are one-of-a-kind and absolutely beautiful. A steal at $110, they take about 2 months to complete.
