This Friday is First Friday up here in Mt. Lebanon. Good times!

Tonight is the closing for Scott’s Show. Rebecca is catering so stop by.
This morning was the Halloween Parade uptown, I gave away well over 1000 pieces of candy and sold a beautiful Jason Amstutz bowl. I wish I had some pictures of the parade, but my camera’s battery is dead.

I got an email from John Hinderliter reminding me that he does portraits too, sorry John. Here is a cool one that he did last year.
Look who is out front of the gallery! A five foot Praying Mantis by Don Jones. This little cutie is causing a stir, I had a crowd of 10 people out front ohhing and ahhing. Don is the same guy who made the 9 - foot Mantis that we had at Three River’s Festival.

I just feel like posting this painting because I have found myself staring at it all morning, it’s really drawing me in today. It’s sold at the opening, but it’s here a few more days.

We have a few artists who do portrait work, including Scott Hunter, Peggi Habets, Susan Haas, John Hinderliter, and Barbara Curry. I am working on a page on the website about commisioning a portrait, hopefully that will be up soon. In the meantime here are a few examples by Scott and Peggi. Susan Haas does amazing pet portraits too!
We are on the Ikea Website! Now we’ve really hit is big!!!

Here are a few pictures from the opening Saturday night. What a perfect night. We had a great art appreciating crowd, but better than that we sold a bunch of paintings. It was a great night. Thanks to Scott for so many things and especially for creating us such wonderful art, but the cd’s he made for the gallery are really cool too. Thanks to Rebeca Reynolds for catering the event, the food was wonderful, if you need a caterer let me know and I’ll put you in touch with her. Thanks to Molly’s sister, Kim, for taking some great photo’s of the night. Thanks to Molly for helping set up, bringing great wine, and just helping to make the night a fabulous sucess!

This is Breezewood, one of many new painting by Scott Hunter for his show that starts Friday night. We will have an artist’s reception on Saturday night, catered by Delicious Memories.
