Our very special kitty Ed died last week, he was 17-years-old. It’s a very sad thing to lose a kitty, they love you unconditionally and Ed was such a cool dude. I am thinking of organizing a show with an animal theme and do a fundraiser for one of the local no-kill shelters.

We are gearing up for “Echoes from the Rustbelt” ceramic show that we are doing in March. We need to clear out most of the gallery for all the pieces that are coming in for it, should be interesting. The show will run March 19 - 29. More later.
It was a good day today, we sold 5 paintings. It seems to me that red is the hot color of the month — could be a link to Valentine’s Day or all the cold weather and people are trying to heat things up.
Actually, that’s an interesting thought. Maybe that is why turquoise is such a popular color out west, to cool things off a bit.
Schools out because of the snow and this flu bug has finally caught up with me, but Greg is at the gallery shoveling and loading up our new software. We aren’t sure yet if people will brave the snow to come out and buy their sweetie’s Valentine gifts, but we’re hopeful!
Last night Greg and I finally watched the movie, “The King of Kong”. It was fantastic. Good guys, bad guys, Donkey Kong, it had everything!
This morning I came in and the huge painting that is hanging on the back mirror had fallen and knocked a piece of glass and some pottery down when it fell. Miraculously, nothing broke.

Here they are. The red and pink tables for Valentines. I tried to get a shot of the ants too. My camera won’t quite capture all their antiness.

Bombay Co at the mall went out of business so we bought some of their displays. We got these shelves with 6 tempered glass pieces for $50, and a bunch of displays and new table for the front.
I have set up a red and pink table for Valentines. I’ll try to get a good picture of those tomorrow.
A new business has opened on Washington Rd. Discover Organizing is having their Grand Opening party tonight, come out and support local business!! Also, our friend and local artist M.A. Sinnhuber will have art on display, should be a good time.

Aileen brought this in yesterday just in time for Valentines day. What’s really cool is that we can make them with birthstones for the love of your life or for a Mom who wants her kids birthstones. Mine will have two Aquamarine and Sapphire, hmm, that may be interesting. I am gong to have fun selling these!
